Ingredients Required:
A bundle of spinach
A handful of small onions
1 green chili
Cumin ¼ tsp
Add some salt
Add water - little
Coconut - 6 pieces
How to do :
Wash and clean the spinach twice and keep it
Now add spinach to the cooker, along that add a handful of small onions, 1 green chili, cumin, salt and then add some water and cover the cooker and cook for 1 whistle.
After a whistle, immediately remove the steam with a spoon - leave it alone - so the spinach color doesn't change.
Next let the spinach cool down a bit.
Next in a mixer jar - grind the coconut coarsely , after that you can grind the cooked spinach with it.
Do not grind the spinach too much, the taste will not be good.
To season
Add a little ghee for seasoning and heat it then add mustard, urad dal,
kari vadagam one by one and fry a little, when the smell comes you can
add sambar powder and add spinach paste to it, after the raw smell is gone,
switch off the stove.
Now Spinach kadayal is ready.You can enjoy it with your favorite rice or you can eat simply during afternoon meal time.
